#4 - Ten Thousand Coffee on Broadway

Welcome to the fourth post of our series, Sidewalk Signs of NYC, where we continue to spotlight the coolest New York City signs and the brands behind them!

Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Ten Thousand Coffee, a South Korean and Australian brand that’s quickly making a name for itself with its unique coffee drinks.

Ten Thousand Coffee – A Taste of Seoul in NYC

Ten Thousand Coffee brings the rich coffee culture of Seoul to the heart of New York City. It's name comes from the well-known theory that it takes at least 10,000 hours to become a master or expert in a field. Ten Thousand Coffee has a very particular minimalist aesthetic that features white countertops paired with oak wood throughout it's NYC location on Broadway.

Of course, I couldn’t resist trying their famous drink, the Einspänner. This drink is made from a hot espresso topped with an incredibly fluffy and delicious whipped cream. The drink was not too sweet and had a very fun cloudy texture that was both a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds.

I finished this in less than a few mintues!

Ten Thousand Coffee's sidewalk sign features the number 10000 displayed vertically across the sign. To be honest, I wasn't sure what I was looking at until I read the small text at the bottom that this was a coffee shop. It’s minimalistic but effective, drawing you in with its spherical logo and helping peak your curiosity.

However, the metal A-frame sign looked a little beat up. It's made from a carbon steel with a powder coated solid white finish. If you look closely though, the sign has numerous small chips throughout the surface and more pronounced chips on the sides revealing the brownish metal underneath (not the best look!).

We love solid color metal signs when they are new but you run the danger of the sign losing its luster over time especially as an outdoor sign that's subject to the elements of New York weather!

We'd recommend getting the sign repainted every once in a while and using a protective seal if you also like solid color powder coated metal signs!

Overall, we loved the Einspänner and highly recommend anyone near Bryant Park to stop by and try it out. Also, if you're looking for a sidewalk sign that reflects your brand's unique style, check out our collection here
