Our latest signage project with 108 Studios, a fine jewelry and piercing brand with a Los Angeles location, brings a bold and distinctive look to the sidewalk.
We created a Red Transparent Acrylic A-Frame Sidewalk Sign featuring the 108 Studios logo prominently at the top, with the number 108 in large white lettering and “studios” arranged vertically alongside it. Beneath the logo, “Piercing & Fine Jewelry” is displayed in a clean, modern typeface. The lower section includes “walk-ins welcome as time permits,” the names of J. Colby Smith, Joshua Harris, and Adrian Castillo, and a dark red transparent finish that allows the surrounding texture to show through.

Where Fine Jewelry Meets Individual Expression
108 Studios is a fine jewelry and piercing studio founded by J. Colby Smith, known for its considered approach to piercing, jewelry selection, and personalized client experiences. The brand operates locations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and Silver Lake, Los Angeles, where its work combines design, anatomy, and long-term wearability. Its focus on refined jewelry and thoughtful placement makes it a natural fit for a sign that balances bold color with elegant typography.

A Transparent Red Sign With Bold Character
The design balances information with personality. The large 108 logo establishes brand recognition, while the “Piercing & Fine Jewelry” message communicates the studio's specialty. Including the walk-in note and artist names adds practical information without taking away from the overall visual impact. The result is a sign that feels expressive, modern, and suited to a studio where jewelry and personal style meet.
