#6 - Parajumpers: Luxury Outerwear in SoHo

Welcome to the sixth post of our series, Sidewalk Signs of NYC, where we continue to spotlight the coolest New York City signs and the brands behind them!

This time, we were walking through the cobblestone streets of SoHo when we spotted Parajumpers on Greene Street with their puffy jacket outerwear on display. Turns out, it's a pretty cool brand that has been working to redefine luxury outerwear since 2005.

Parajumpers - Function Meets Fashion

Inspired by the 210th Rescue Squadron in Alaska, their jackets are designed to withstand some of the harshest conditions on the planet. Whether you’re leaving Barry's during a NYC winter or planning to summit Everest, Parajumpers has got you covered.

Founded by designer Massimo Rossetti, Parajumpers combines Italian craftsmanship with a sense of adventure. While I was there, I was pretty impressed by the details—think real fur trims, reinforced shoulders, and those iconic yellow parachute hooks.

Discovering the Bold Orange Sign

Now, let’s talk about that very loud and bright orange A-Frame Sidewalk Sign that caught my eye. The Parajumpers sidewalk sign is made from metal painted blood orange with a card insert that is also proudly orange with bold white lettering. The sign features a 30% discount in store and a picture of their logo. It’s simple, but it stands out—kind of similar to their jackets.

My only critique is that the left side of the sign is showing a bit of noticeable wear and tear exposing the dark metal behind the orange coat of paint. This is sometimes the difficulty you get with bright loud colors!
