Our most recent project with Kopê House, located at 1100 Valencia Street in San Francisco, CA, focused on transforming the café’s strong personality and community-oriented spirit into a custom sidewalk sign that communicates its identity clearly to passersby and neighbors along a busy urban street.
We designed a Brushed Stainless Steel A-Frame Sidewalk Sign for daily outdoor use. Stainless steel was chosen for strength and longevity. It performs well in high-traffic urban settings. The brushed finish adds texture without visual noise. The A-frame structure provides stability and flexibility. It allows the sign to sit confidently on the sidewalk. Pedestrians can view it from multiple angles. The format works well for cafés and retail spaces.
The sign features the phrase “Drink Kope House” in nostalgic typography that feels familiar and welcoming. A simple illustration of a person drinking coffee adds personality and a human touch. A bold green “COFFEE” block ensures immediate clarity and visibility. The phrase “Never Bitter” softens the design and reflects the café’s friendly tone. Smaller details, including “Established 2022 – San Francisco, CA,” add authenticity and ground the sign in place and history.

A View of the Culture of Kopê House
Kopê House is more than a stop for coffee, it’s a cultural hub shaped by creativity, openness, and craft. That philosophy guided every design decision. The expressive typography and illustrative elements communicate warmth and personality, while the clean structure of the sign maintains visual confidence. Together, they create a balance that feels honest and unpretentious.

A Sidewalk Sign Made for the Energy of Valencia Street
Valencia Street is vibrant, layered, and full of life. Any signage placed here needs to hold its own without overpowering its surroundings. The brushed stainless steel construction allows the sign to coexist comfortably with the neighborhood’s mix of historic textures, colorful storefronts, and evolving businesses. Its angled A-frame shape naturally catches the eye and guides foot traffic inward, inviting curiosity without demanding it.
Built to withstand daily use, weather, and constant movement, the sign is as practical as it is expressive. It’s designed to age well, developing character over time while continuing to reflect Kopê House’s welcoming spirit on Valencia Street.
